Assistant of the President & CEO

Originally from Los Angeles California, Brenda Gunn provides executive support services to the Hispanic Chamber. She serves as the Assistant to the President & CEO, assisting with various administrative, operational, and HR needs. She is committed to supporting the chamber’s growth and building strong relationships with members and stakeholders. Brenda works remotely for the Chamber but always feels like an integral part of the Hispanic Chamber family. You can often find her enjoying yoga and family time at the library or the park.

Digital Marketing Senior Manager

Orlando Serrano-Lugo, originally from Las Vegas, NV, currently serves as the Digital Marketing Senior Manager at the Hispanic Chamber, where he aims to make significant contributions to the Hispanic community. His primary goal is to tell compelling stories through his artwork and designs, whether its promoting events, featuring member works in newsletters, or honoring award winners. Looking ahead, he aspires to further his expertise in graphic design, aspiring to one day become a Creative Director. Outside of work, Orlando indulges in his passion for board and video games, boasting an extensive collection of both. When not in the office, you’ll likely find him immersed in a board game with friends, working on his next art project, or enjoying a quiet night in with a good book or video game.

Senior Manager of Business Development

Jesus (Jay) Martinez, Senior Manager of Business Development, is from Nicaragua and is dedicated to strengthening relationships with existing members by increasing engagement through specially crafted programs and consistent communication. He is passionate about supporting and empowering the Hispanic business community, a cornerstone of Central Florida’s economy and culture. With aspirations of advancing to a C-Executive or Executive Director role, Jay aims to grow the Hispanic Chamber’s membership base and revenues, leaving a lasting positive impact on the local community. Outside of work, he enjoys photography, hunting, and outdoor adventures, and can often be found in the ocean or the mountains.

Senior Manager of Events & Programs

Nelia Castro, Senior Manager of Events & Programs, was born in Bogota, Colombia, and has lived in the U.S. for over 20 years. She is dedicated to creating impactful events and educational programs that promote leadership and growth in the Hispanic community. Nelia enjoys being part of the creative process, where she can showcase her organizational skills while delivering unique experiences. Her future goal is to own an events company and work internationally, with a focus on fashion, gala events, and cultural festivals. An avid traveler, Nelia loves exploring different cultures, a hobby that has opened her mind in unique ways. She is inspired by the motto, “A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” – Lao Tzu.

Gricel Valera, originally from the Dominican Republic grew up in New York, serves as the Corporate Relations Manager. Dedicated to cultivating relationships between the Hispanic Chamber and its investors, she finds fulfillment in her role by creating connections, and collaborating towards shared objectives. Her professional aspirations include expanding her network within the industry to continue collaboration and partnerships, both personally and for the organization. Outside the office, she enjoys hobbies such as learning, reading, and solving puzzles, while also enjoying quality time with her family exploring theme parks.

Isabella Morales, from Cali, Colombia, serves as the Events and Programs Coordinator. In her role, she aims to organize impactful events that further learning and growth for member success. She is passionate about creating connections among business owners through successful event planning, each occasion a unique opportunity for personal and professional development. With an A.S. in film production from Valencia College, she envisions utilizing her experiences at the Hispanic Chamber to spearhead her own film production venture. Beyond the office, she finds enjoyment in playing volleyball, while also pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Rollins College and spending time with friends.

Maxi Luna is the Membership Coordinator, an Orlando native, bilingual, and striving to perfect his Spanish. With a master’s in marketing, he aims to further establish connections with Hispanic Chamber members, while helping them in their business growth and community engagement. He hopes to continue his involvement and making an impact in the community. During his free time, he enjoys working out, smoothies, and beach outings.

Nathalie Sanchez is the Operations & Special Projects Coordinator, from Clewiston, Florida, where her passion for community engagement started. In her current role, she takes pride in connecting with individuals dedicated to creating positive change. She is committed to enhancing the Hispanic community in Central Florida and aspires to earn her master’s in public policy to lead advocacy initiatives and serve underrepresented communities through nonprofits or advocacy businesses. Outside of the office, she can often be found immersed in studies, either at the park or the school library.

Ivelys Vázquez, a New York native with a strong connection to Puerto Rico, holds a BA in accounting from Herbert H Lehman College. With over 25 years of public accounting experience and mentorship from CPAs in Orlando and Georgia, she founded Proverbs Accounting Services, LLC during the pandemic. She prioritizes empowering entrepreneurs with effective internal controls. At the Hispanic Chamber, she streamlines interdepartmental communication and innovative solutions to produce accurate financial statement reporting. Outside work, she values faith, family, music, plants, and Yankees Baseball.
